I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on 8/27/08.  I had a Lumpectomy on
9/15/08.  They did not obtain clear margins the first time so they re-excised
more tissue on 10/14/08.  I then had
Mammosite Balloon High Dose Radiation
Treatments.  On 12/1/08 I had my first follow up Mammogram and everything
was clear.  They started me on a medication called Arimidex to prevent my
hormones from telling any remaining cancer cells to multiply because my
mass was Hormone Receptor Positive.  This medication brought me out of
Menopause and I had to have a total hysterectomy on 3/16/09.
Even after all this, I am keeping a positive attitude and I'm doing great.
To date, my mammograms do not show any signs of new tumors!
