Hi Sue,
We have been quite busy and last weekend we were visiting with some friends in Manhattan, Sasha went
too! She did really well in the hotel, got the hang of the elevator after one trip, used the litter pan in the
room for pee, and even pooped at the base of a tree on the street, just like a real New York doggie. She
travels well in the car too. Last night we went to dinner at friends and Sasha was given a special invitation
to join. Our friends children, ages 11 and 4, just love her to pieces. Sasha is really good with the kids, very
tolerant of their petting and picking her up. Over the holidays we had a houseful of children and adults
and at first she barked, raised the hair on her back, and ran away. It just took a few hours before she
adjusted to the little people. She follows them and seems to enjoy them.
Sasha has a relationship with each of the kitties, closer to Natasha, our newest little one, than to the older
cats. Tasha and Sasha chase each other and play hide and seek. Jon nicknamed Natasha “Tater Tash”
and in wild mode- “The Taterater”. She will steal Sasha’s bones and toys off the bed, one by one, and hid
them under the blanket on the chest at the end of the bed. It is so funny to watch. Sasha can smell the
bones and toys and goes and pulls them out. She also moves them upstairs at night, and brings them
back downstairs every morning. Our oldest kitty, Muschta, who has kidney disease and is slowly slipping
away is less tolerant of Sasha. He hisses at her, and Sasha just sits down stares at him. She doesn’t seem
to quite get what a “hiss” means. Once or twice one of the cats bopped her in the head with their paws, so
Sasha does know not to get too rambunctious or too close. During the day Sasha will sleep on a chair next
to me or on a towel on the floor next to the heater. In Jon’s office she sleeps in her doggie bed nearby.
She insists on being near one of us at all times.
We have settled into a good routine and Sasha knows how to tell us she needs to go outside for a poo. I
am amazed she can go to bed at 9PM and not need to go until the next morning. She sleeps close to one
of us, switching from Jon to I and back again during the night. Sasha’s ears are fine although the ear with
the little bit of white on it does occasionally droop a little. It give her a cute look and she seems to have
control over it. We bought the black coat with faux fur trim for Sasha. She wore it to dinner last night and
got giggles and approvals from our friends on her being so “stylish”. Jon bought her a rain coat from
another manufacturer that has sort of an Eddie Bauer look.
You may post anything I have written to you by email and please free to post any photos. I attached three
of Sasha and Boris Morris on the sofa next to Jon. You can see Sasha “fits” right in. For years I wanted to
get a dog and it wasn’t until Vangie got Emily that I finally decided to give in to my desires. I told her Emily
was the “Perfect” dog and that she was exactly what I wanted. Sasha is very much like Emily but I dare say
she is even better than perfect little Emily. All our fiends are amazed too, that a dog could be so lovable,
so agreeable, so cute, and so low maintenance. Even the vet and assistants are impressed, telling us that
most Boston ’s they treat are hyper among other negatives. Sasha is anything but hyper, almost cat like,
so she truly has fit right into our hearts and home.
Kind regards,
Cecile Marie

Sasha doesn't look too sure about this kitty.
Check back for photo updates as Sasha starts her new life at her new home with Cecile and Jon.

Cecile Marie has been friends with Vangela Geis since High School. Vangela bought Emily from me. Vangela and Emily went to visit Cecile last summer and Cecile fell in love with Emily. Vangela gave Cecile my E-mail address and she applied to purchase a Boston from me. She wanted one just like Emily. Sasha is as close as they get!
