Hi Sue!  Jeff sent the following e-mail last night at about 7:30 but it must have got lost along the way
or something  so here it is again-

Hi Sue!

Just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know that Spencer and Jane and I made it home successfully.
Spencer was a complete angel in the car on the way home, sleeping the whole way even as we were pulled over
by the State Patrol while getting on to I-43 for not having a front license plate on our car. Of all the things...

When we got home we let Spencer run around in the back yard, and he was a good boy and went potty right
away. When we went in the house the cats were very interested in everything we brought in - including Spencer. I
was surprised how the cats reacted, they weren't afraid and they weren't hostile. Just a little wary and curious. We
set up some baby gates to keep Spencer in the living room and the cats out, but that didn't last very long. The
cats just jumped over the gates to investigate the dog. At the moment Spencer is on his 3rd nap cycle of the day
(i.e; eat, potty, play, sleep), sleeping curled up in a blanket on the floor while each cat also sleeps in their
customary positions. Everybody seems quite content.

Spencer gobbled up his food at lunch time and then went and used his litter box right away. Did the same at
dinner time. What a good boy!

He's very alert and playful and a real snuggler and sweetheart. We'll send some pictures later of Spencer, one of
our cats, and me all snoozing in our favorite chair. Thanks again for letting us adopt such a wonderful little guy!

Spencer went to the vet today and the vet said Spencer was in great shape.  Spencer slept all night
last night in his crate (door open) without a whimper.  Of course he was up at 6 this morning looking
for food!  He's been really good at using his litter box, so far he hasn't had a single accident.  He and
the cats are getting along even better today, the vet said he couldn't believe how well things were
going with them.  This morning after Spencer's 6 am breakfast we all laid in bed for a while, with
Spencer next to me and Ollie the cat on top of me.  Everybody warm and happy!  By the way, Spencer
just seems to love the bed.  He also follows me all over the house which is really nice.

We'll send some pictures in the next few days.  I think he's happy here, and we love him a lot!
