Hi Sue,

We had a great night last night.  Brio is WONDERFUL.  She is brave and confident and so loving and
inquisitive.  You have matched for me the perfect personality.  You have also done an amazing job with her…I
couldn’t ask for more!  Melissa, my dog sitter (who is also my Assistant at work), came over last  night and is so
in love with Brio.  She lives in the next neighborhood over and is already asking when I’ll be leaving town and
need her to sit.

She started out in the crate last night and was a very good girl.  She wined a little, but it only lasted less than 30
seconds.  She then quieted down and when I was ready for bed (not until about midnight since I had a lot of
visitors and stayed up late playing with her), I took her out of the crate and she slept with me until about 6 AM.  I
then got her up for a potty break and breakfast and we went back to bed until about 8 AM.  I’m loving the puppy
breathe.  She smells so good and sounds so cute.

We’ve been out and about all morning.  We went to the tire store so they could balance and rotate my tires and
while they were doing that, we took a walk to Petsmart and bought a red leash to match her collar.  She’s
already picking up on how to follow the lead….she’s VERY smart!!!  (But I’m sure you already knew that!).  She
already knows “no bites”, after she nipped my nose a bit last night.

She’s now asleep on my lap as I work from home a bit and catch up on e-mail.  I also have quite a bit of
computer work this afternoon, so I know where she will be!!!  Later on, I may take her into the office….everyone
there is counting on it.  I want to make sure she gets a good rest first.

Her stools are fine and her appetite and water consumption is good.  It does not appear as though the trip
phased her much at all!

She has a few little baby “bumps” on her head…did you notice them and/or ask the Vet about them?  Anything I
should be doing about them?  They don’t seem to itch or anything, but the hair in that area seems a little
sparse, so I’m wondering if they need any type of topical on them.  Your thoughts?

We took a BUNCH of pictures last night, so I’ll see if I can get them downloaded and send some to you.  I’m new
at this digital camera thing and this will be my first attempt without my 19 year old computer wiz son with me.

Chris, my son, will be home next week with his Pug so they will all have a chance to meet.

All for now.  I’ll write again soon.  Thanks again for my new Baby.  I love her!!!

Hi Sue:

Feel free to use my e-mail on your Web Site.  I'll try to get to the pictures tonight.

We have had such an incredible weekend.  Brio is so wonderful.  She is the smartest, cleanest and most
organized puppy I've ever known....not to mention the most loving.

She loves her toys and has a low basket to keep them in.  When I placed the basket full of toys on the floor, she
quickly started moving each toy, one by one, to her favorite spot by the sliding glass door out to the back yard.
She piled them up neatly and then went to play with them.  It was the most amusing 10 min. I have ever had.
So...I got the message and put the basket by the back door and piled the toys in the basket.  She leaped in and
took a toy and went running off to play.  She then brought the toy back, PLACED IT IN THE BASKET, took
another toy and proceeded to do the same thing.  I'm NOT kidding.  This went on for a while...most of the toys
got placed back in the basket.  Since then, she has put about 50% of her toys away by herself.  This AM, I
played Frisbee with her for about 15 min. before I went to work and after she got tired, she put the Frisbee back
in the basket.  She's blowing me away.

Another cool thing was yesterday afternoon when she was asleep on the couch.  She woke up and ran to the
bathroom to use the litter box.  That was a first.  She has the run of the house, but since I've been
with her for 3 days, I've been taking her out to "go", which she has done so, on request, every time.  She has
used her litter box in the pen on 2 occasions, when I ran out to the store.  I had a friend check in on her today
and I'm on the way home now to see how the first work day went.  I didn't hear from my friend when he went by
so I'm assuming all is good.

The bumps look sort of like a little ant bite, but they are firm and under the skin.  NOT an open sore or scratch.
Very small...like the head of a pin.  Nothing to put Neo upon.  They obviously don't itch.  I have an appointment
with the Vet so I'll check then.  I'm not too concerned.  I think they are "baby bumps", like human babies get
sometimes for no apparent reason!!!

CONGRATULATIONS on an amazing weekend.  I know how that feels to come home from such a successful
competition!!  I picked out Ali as one of my favorites last year when I first found your Web Site.  I think Brio's face
is looking a lot like Diana's...that's a great thing.  She is so beautiful and the expression is so kind, intelligent
and wise!

More soon. Congratulations again.

Subject:  Update on Brio

Hi Sue,

It’s been a while since I wrote and thought I’d give you a quick update on Brio since today is our 1 month
anniversary together!

Brio is doing GREAT.  She is absolutely perfect in every way.  She has become a key part of the family and I’ve
attached some pictures to show you the other “kids” and how everyone is getting along so great.  The birds
(Kimber and Kermit) are quite attached to her and there is a great picture in this batch….. one day,  I left the top
of the bird cage open for about an hour while I was doing yard work.  When I came back in, I found that the birds
had traveled the entire house (quite the journey since they can’t fly and had to waddle), over to Brio’s crate and
climbed to the top to sit with her.

We are keeping up with the grinding of nails, bathing every other week and leash training.  We go on outings as
often as possible and are always a big “hit” wherever we go.  She is very social and gives kisses to whomever will
have them.  She is extraordinarily athletic and is going to really enjoy agility.  She practices all over the furniture
and back yard every day.  She is so smart and quick with everything we do.  Her focus and concentration on me
and Eddie (pictured taking a nap with Brio) is going to really help in her training.  I am truly overwhelmed with how
well we suit each other.

She now has steps to be able to get on and off the bed by herself.  I also purchased a new ‘playpen’ since she is
outgrowing the large crate that I keep her in during the day.  She needs her larger litter pan and more room to
play during the day now that she appears to not be sleeping the entire day.  She seems to do fine with my
schedule.  We play and cuddle non-stop in the evenings and weekends.  When I do chores, she follows me
around either chewing on toys/rawhide, or, occasionally, I’ll toss a fetch toy and she’ll keep bringing it back no
matter where I’ve gone in the house.  And then, every so often, we have a love attack and just stop what we are
doing for cuddles and a few kisses.

Enjoy the pictures and let me know how all is going in Packer’s country!  Looks like Brett is back for another
season, yes???  Brio may have to get a “4” jersey!!!

Take care,

Patti
