Hi Sue,
Well. What a night - the boys are getting along wonderfully.... tons of confusion running around
playing, jumping, growling and exploring. Matthew seems to be adjusting very well - he and Buster have
been doing alot of getting to know you playing, and all is going well.
Everyone loves Matthew, he spent the night with Courtney and I - this went well but if he jumps on my face
again at 2 a.m. - he and I are going to have a talk - LOL ; )
He is truly a velcro dog, as I write this Matthew is up on the bed next to me wondering what's going on. He is
eating exceptionally well, he isn't quite as fast as Buster but he has a hearty appetite. He has been going to
the bathroom outside well and I don't really see any signs of stress.
Oh, one thing you didn't tell me about is how clean your face is at the end of the day ; ) that little tongue of
his does quite a job - LOL
Boy, this is like having two little kids in the house, they have been running around non stop - its like a
racetrack around here!!!!
We have been taking some great pictures but unfortunately it is pretty drab outside so those pictures will
have to wait
Both boys are roughly the same size, so playtime is a howl to watch, neither can bully the other so all of the
growling and tug of war is very even.
It is going to be very fun to watch as time goes bye how the routines of the house develop, Matthew slept in
until 8 a.m. this morning ( which was nice on a Sunday), and he has us all to himself at night . Buster will
just not break his routine, when he comes in for the last time in the evening he runs right to his crate and
sits their waiting for his cookie - he then settles down and goes to sleep. So, I guess that will be our night
routine - Matthew will run upstairs and Buster will be down - Oh well, go figure.
The girls love Matthew! I was wondering how they would take to him (Buster has been the local lap dog for
so long) but Matthew walked in and very easily jumped into the mix. I've never seen a more confident dog -
new people, new house, yard, etc... he just seems to be absorbing everything and not missing a beat!
He is quite an explorer, there isn't an inch of the yard that hasn't been sniffed, tasted and run over. Same
with the house, he has no problem going up and down the stairs from where I am in my study, to the girls
downstairs to Courtney in the living room - he is in continual motion. I think he will tire Buster out easily, I
thought Buster was in good shape, but Matthew definitely has more stamina!
Oh, well - Buster will get in better shape with all the exercise.
That about it for now, we'll send out the pictures soon, I'll probably send the crate back toward the
beginning of next week - just in case - but as of now everything is going great and Matthew is a true delight!
Take Care -
Warren
