Hi! My name is Jolie`. Ch Bleugras Jolie` of Buena Vista, CGC, ROM*.
My Mom and Dad bought me back in the Fall of 2000 and that started our love affair. I moved into their home filled with
Doberman Pinschers .....and took over. I hope you enjoy my Web Site as I've tried to fill it with useful
information about our wonderful Breed. Please read on.................

wonderful loving home you provided to Jolie & Sophia during their stay with you and the great care you gave them.   You took us under your wing
and helped us to get our breeding program off the ground.   Thank you for having enough faith in us to allow us to breed Jolie, Sophia, Diana &
Spirit to your boys: Teddy, Keeper, Stormy, Gater, Murphy, Tucker, Indy and Lincoln. And for allowing us to have Destiny and Cassie.
We won't let you down!   You're The Best!
I'd also like to thank Beccy Smith for allowing us to breed Spirit to Kip twice, both times resulting in a single puppy,
Kendall (now our 14th Champion) and Emily.
And Richard and Jane Craven for allowing us to breed Destiny to Charlie of which we kept Curly, who became our 13th Home Bred Champion.
And to Marion Berger for allowing us to breed Destiny to William. 4 bitches born on 9/30/08. Ritzy will start her show carer this summer.

Nivie won Best Of Opposite Sex at Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in 2006!
Nivie finished 2005 as the #5 Boston and in 2006 as the #6 Boston in the US.

Nivie had 2 boys and 2 girls born on 11-15-07. Cassie arrived in Wisconsin on
1-24-08 with Sarah Kennedy. And baby Hollis went back home with Sarah to live
with Vicki & Kip. Her registered name is Kennedy's Holiday At Achates.
Cassie, Lincoln, Able and Nell are all Champions.

Here are short notes from people that have come to see my home and to meet me and my Bostons.
They are either on my waiting list to purchase a puppy or have since bought a puppy from me.

Please beware of unscruplous breeders who try to sell off colored Bostons. There are many breeders trying to sell Cream,
Blue and Red or Brown colored Bostons which are not recognized colors by the Boston Terrier Club of America or the
American Kennel Club. They may say they are RARE and try to charge rates in the area of $1,500 or more.
Please do not support their efforts as they do not have the best interest of the Boston Terrier in their hearts.
They are breeding against the standard to fulfill their own greedy desires.

Our youngest Grand Child
Sophia Morgan LeCalsey.
was 7 lbs 15 oz at birth and 20 1/2 inches long and is
the daughter of my son Paul and his wife Paula. This
was their first child, after being married almost 7 years.

We now have 4 granddaughters and 4 grandsons.

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on 8/27/08. I had a Lumpectomy on 9/15/08. They did not obtain clear margins the
first time so they re-excised more tissue on 10/14/08. I then had Mammosite Balloon High Dose Radiation Treatments. On
12/1/08 I had my first follow up Mammogram and everything was clear. They started me on a medication called Arimidex
to prevent my hormones from telling any remaining cancer cells to multiply because my mass was Hormone Receptor
Positive. This medication brought me out of Menopause and I had to have a total hysterectomy on 3/16/09.
Even after all this, I am keeping a positive attitude and I'm doing great.
My Mammogram in December of 2009 does not show any signs of new tumors!

Most of our Bostons are finished AKC Champions, but a few are just starting their show career.

Achates Bostons Wall of AKC Champions

I am proud to say that we are one of the few Boston breeders in the United States that Health
Tests all puppies produced before they leave for their new home. We drive to Chicago to have the
BAER Hearing test performed and and have the CERF Eye Exam performed here in Denmark, WI by
a Veterinary Opthomologist. These are generally performed between 10 & 12 weeks of age. To
date all puppies have tested as Normal or Clear. Puppies have their Patellas tested after 1 year of
age, as required by OFA. All of our Health Testing Results are registered with OFA and AKC
through their CHIC Program, and are available for Public Review on their web sites.
All of our dogs and all puppies sold, are permanently identified by AVID Micro-chips.

I have also tested 13 of my adult Bostons using DNA, for the Juvenile Hereditary Cataracts
and we do not carry the gene that produces them. 3 more of my Bostons are Clear By Parentage.

Jolie, our foundation Bitch, turned 10 years old on 2/5/10 and she still does not show any signs of
cataracts and is healthy in every aspect. We are on our 4th generation of healthy, happy Bostons.

We only use Stud Dogs that have passed these same Health Tests, so we do not needlessly
produce puppies that will have debilitating health issues to contend with.
